Hop to it there’s some cracking good Easter activity online
Monday, 29th March 2021
Angel Central has partnered with local organisations to bring free, fun craft workshops to kids online during the holidays
This Easter there are some egg-stra fun activities to enjoy thanks to a partnership between Angel Central Shopping Centre and three great local organisations.
With lockdown restrictions making Easter look a little bit different this year the Angel Central team decided that, if people can’t come to the centre for craft workshops, the craft workshops will come to them!
There are three free sessions each hosted by a different maker. The materials needed for some of the workshops will be sent out before the session, whilst for the third session the craft is based on creating something wonderful out of objects you would usually throw away – keep hold of your loo rolls!
The first sessions are live on the website with more coming soon. There are sessions for different aged children too.
For the little ones (3+) there’s:
Easter Egg Pom-Poms with Little Dot Love
Join Little Dot Loves for an exciting workshop to make Easter Egg Pom-Poms, using bright yarn and thread, you will learn to make a multi-coloured Pom-Pom. Gather some sticks from outside, decorate and make your own happy!

Materials included: 3 balls of brightly coloured yarn, pom-pom maker, twine, glue, bright card and downloadable instructions
And for slightly older children (10+)

Martin MacWhinnie, centre manager added: “The easing of lockdown is in sight but, Easter this year still looks different for a lot of families. We wanted to offer some free, fun things to do and make for kids during the holidays as well as work with some fabulous local groups.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming people back to shop with us and enjoy the centre but, for the time being we would like to remind everyone to only shop for essentials.”
