Housing problems must be tackled London-wide

Friday, 5th June 2020

• ISLINGTON has 0.9 per cent of the area of London but some 2.5 per cent of its population.

The housing problem cannot be solved by squeezing in a few extra units on social housing sites to the detriment of those already there, as proposed at Dixon Clark Court, mainly to meet the political agendas of a few councillors.

The same applies to Morland Mews. Taken seriously, the housing problem needs to be tackled on a London-wide basis where there is room to do so on a large scale.
