How long is this bumbling new rule of law going to continue?

Coronavirus

• TOO many contradictions!

– One rule for the government, another for the people, exemplified by the “Cummings” and goings of Boris Johnson’s adviser; and previously the resignation from Sage, the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies, by Imperial Colleges’ Professor Neil Ferguson, who proposed lockdown in the first place.

– Public transport shockingly still with a reduced service, packing everyone in (not that, I’m told by a key worker, it was any different during full lockdown) with fares going up and the congestion charge restored despite advice to use private transport to get to work.

– The government’s disingenuous expressed concern for the elderly and vulnerable with no sensible measures in place to protect them in care homes or out in the open where social distancing is evaporating.

– The many deaths (no figures yet available) of people who were denied treatment because Covid-19 took priority.

– And now, because of two deaths off the Cornwall coast due to laying off lifeguards on beaches there is talk of closing down beaches – while non-essential construction is green-lighted and granted the opportunity to extend working hours round the clock.

– Free speech dead in the water as alternative, non-violent, sometimes “expert” views are being deplatformed from YouTube and Facebook for “violating community guidelines” while live executions and vile animal torture are still showing on YouTube (happenstance to come across).

How long is this frightening mess under this bumbling new rule of law gong to continue?
