Police descended on Blackstock Road in huge numbers after officers attacked

FIVE men have been arrested after police officers suffered minor injuries in a brawl on Blackstock Road.

Huge numbers of police officers arrived in the area at around 8pm on Thursday (May 7) after a group of people described as “acting suspiciously” by police resisted being searched.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said a number of officers suffered minor injuries and needed treatment from the London Ambulance service, but none were taken to hospital.

Despite needing medical treatment at the scene, no officers were taken to hospital

The five men were arrested on public order charges and for assaulting an emergency worker.
