I am pleased about the movement for Primrose Hill to be open 24/7

• I AM delighted to see that there is a growing movement to keep Primrose Hill open 24/7. It is a shame that the police keep stating that they do not have enough resources.
There is an old joke about police resources. An elderly lady calls 999 to say that she can see someone breaking into her garage.
The police reply that they do not have enough resources to attend. A few minutes later she call again telling them to cancel the call because she has shot the burglar.
Within minutes there are police everywhere. An officer says to the lady “why did you tell us that you had shot the burglar”? She replies “why did you tell me you did not have enough resources”?
On May 7 at 9.30pm there were about 100 people on the hill. Five police vehicles and 16 police officers cleared the hill then left. If the same number of officers made the occasional appearance, late in the evening, it would deter any anti-social behaviour.
Sir Keir Starmer has stated that he wants to have a meeting with the parks department. I have invited Sir Keir to visit the hill late in the evening. If everyone met up on the top of the hill they would see that there really is not a problem.
