If Labour’s leadership continues in its current ambiguity about Brexit then it risks creating an open goal for the pro-EU Lib Dems and Greens

• THOSE who make a case for Brexit from the political left should be careful what they wish for (It’s time to put aside the divisive bickering, and accept that Brexit is inevitable, February 16).
They should remember that Islington voted 75 per cent Remain in 2016. Very many local Labour Party members and voters will be deeply concerned about the country’s current direction of travel on Brexit, and the damage that looms for London’s economy and jobs.
There are local elections in May, and if Labour’s leadership continues in its current ambiguity about Brexit then it risks creating an open goal for the pro-EU Lib Dems and Greens. The Labour Party will only have itself to blame.
