• I AM confident the new chief executive is content with the increase in wages provided by Labour’s Islington Council dictatorship, (Islington Town Hall chief executive gets £20k pay rise, July 26). Meanwhile food banks are doing a roaring trade as the council has no money.

I think Linzi Roberts-Egan’s first action should be to request-demand a hair drug test from all management employees as the council tax-paying public need to be reassured that this is not the reason for the failed state Islington is in at the moment.

It has become the cash-cow-camera capital of the world which is hindering business in Chapel Market.
