Imani Allaway-Muir was found with gunshot wounds at the Westbourne Estate
A 70-YEAR-OLD has become the eighth man to be charged over a fatal shooting in Holloway last summer.
William Hardy was arrested this week and yesterday (Thursday) appeared at Willesden Magistrates Court charged with murder. Seven other men, all from various addresses in Islington, have already been charged in relation to the death of Imani Allaway-Muir.
They are all expected to stand trial at the Old Bailey but the case will not be heard until February next year.
The 22-year-old died on July 22 last year after being found with gunshot wounds at the Westbourne Estate in Roman Way, close to Pentonville Prison and a children’s play area.
His mother, Keetha Allaway, said: “I’m devastated and having to hear of more and more men involved being arrested so close to where I live. It’s heart-breaking. I can’t explain in words my pain.”
The family released balloons and held prayers in Imani’s memory before travelling up to his grave in East Finchley to lay flowers in February when he would have turned 23.
