INTERNATIONAL students who pay almost double to those from the UK are turning to food banks during the Covid-19 crisis.

A group studying at the London Metropolitan University in Holloway told the Tribune that they were running out of money to buy basics during the pandemic.

A spokesperson from the university said struggling students should get in touch, adding: “We have provided accommodation grants to international students, and we have recently increased the amount of financial support available through our hardship fund.”
