Islington Council makes air pollution worse by allowing fires to be lit in Highbury Fields

• MAYOR of London Sadiq Khan has said that the air in capital is lethal. Yet Islington Council makes it worse by allowing fires to be lit in Highbury Fields.

How long can the council ignore the dangers of toxic smoke for those people suffering from respiratory diseases such as asthma and to the lungs of growing children?

The council should be supporting the Mayor of London’s campaign to improve the air in the capital by reimposing the ban on barbecues in Highbury Fields.
