ISLINGTON pensioners finished a commendable 13th at an inter-borough sports tournament at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s Copper Box Arena.

Competing against 20 other teams in sports including darts, dominoes and walking football, Islington scored ahead of neighbouring rivals Camden in the games organised by leisure contractors GLL.

Britain’s favourite panto dame Christopher Biggins (above) added to the fun by joining in with the table tennis. The 76-year-old actor is an ambassador for the event.
