The charity celebrated a quarter of a century supporting the community with a fundraising walk
A CHARITY that has helped Islington parents for 25 years has raised almost £5,000 in a fundraising drive to celebrate its quarter century anniversary.
The Parent House held a sponsored walk on Saturday from the charity’s home in Calshot Street to Caledonian Park.
Staff, parents, children and supporters finished their walk with a lunch made by Friends of Caledonian Park.
The Parent House provides food bank vouchers and free clothes, as well as support groups on issues from isolation, to SEND support, to career development.
One of the mothers, Vicky, said: “All the small things, the chats, the advice, the encouragement and the way they treat everyone, makes them so special.”
