THE Arsenal Tavern is set to reopen after punters feared the landmark pub had closed when it was boarded up over the summer.

A spokesman for Ei Publican Partnerships, who own the Blackstock Road boozer, said it will be a “community-style hub” run by a “local” publican. The interior has undergone a refurbishment that “nods to the pub’s position in the local community”, he added.

The Tavern has been a haunt for Arsenal fans before and after games for decades.
