• ON July 4 please remember the many things Jeremy Corbyn has done to help Islington North since 1983.

His support for our Whittington Hospital, our Number 4 bus, our Gillespie Park etc, is widely known, but most things he does to help us are known to very few.

Here’s just one example. During the challenge to his leadership of the Labour Party, when most contenders would spend all their time trying to win for themselves, Corbyn was focused on helping local mental health service users who were losing their benefits and support because their medical records had been accidentally lost.

As usual he chose to focus on helping our most vulnerable neighbours rather than promote himself. This is what putting politics back in the service of people actually looks like.
