Jeremy Corbyn

• JEREMY Corbyn said recently that “Labour will not back any Brexit deal that harms the future of our economy and communities.”

If the UK were to leave the European Union, any arrangements that might follow would entail that harm, through disruption of our trading links and lower economic growth – though remaining in the single market and customs union is the least-damaging option.

If Jeremy is now in effect saying that Labour should support staying in the EU, he needs to say this in simple language. There’s a choice and it’s time he came down on the right side of it. Labour supporters are waiting.
