• THE problems of safety and congestion at Highbury Corner are largely caused by gridlocked traffic, and pedestrians being unable to proceed due to both the junctions at St Pauls Road and Canonbury Road being constantly blocked by vehicles straddling them.

This could be ameliorated quickly and cheaply by the installation of “keep clear” yellow junction boxes enforced by traffic cameras or – better still – the occasional police presence.
