• I AM just writing because I can’t understand why it seems that us Islington residents seem to be obsessed with silence these days.

You’ve had a letter about Newcastle fans making noise till 10pm. We’ve great community pubs under threat because people are complaining about people laughing and having conversations.

These places make London the vibrant city that it always has been and should stay that way. I personally love noise. That’s why I like living in our beautiful Islington. This is city life. If people don’t like it then move to the country.
