Sainsbury’s Camden Town

• SAINSBURY’S supermarket in Camden Town richly deserves to be granted Grade II-listed status. As an architect myself I have always admired the building. It is always a great pleasure to go shopping in its wonderful interior.

Nevertheless I do wish that they would look after the building better than they do. The basement car park is always awash with water, even on dry days, and the travelator down to it has been out of action for a considerable time. I have protested about these matters to no avail.
