Izzy Rowley and Anna Lamche

Izzy Rowley and Anna Lamche have been out making films for our new channel

THE Camden New Journal and Islington Tribune’s brand new channel – Peeps Online – launched on Monday with our award-winning team of journalists looking to expand our campaigning journalism.

We are uploading films, interviews and mini-documentaries about current affairs and politics, creating a space for debate and discussion.

The channel will not be restricted to our borough boundaries, so it’s something extra from our newsroom.

One of our first films sees reporter Izzy Rowley go inside an international arms fair, a rare look inside a bazaar of weapons traders.

Look out for more videos over the coming days from the recent political conference season, including the question we posed at the Green Party conference: are slow gains in the parliamentary process really more effective than the headline-collecting activities of direct action groups like Just Stop Oil.

You can support our work by subscribing to the channel on YouTube for free and commenting on what we have produced. We’d love to hear your feedback.

Peeps Online takes its name from the long-running political diary in the pages of the CNJ.

If you have an event or issue which you think might be worth a visit from our team, please get in touch by email at editorial@camdennewjournal.co.uk
