A MOTORCYCLIST was left fighting for his life in hospital after a crash with a cement mixer lorry.
Police were called to Parkhurst Road, close to the junction with Camden Road, on Tuesday at around 2pm.
The collision happened outside the former Holloway Prison, which is currently a building site for Peabody flats.
The motorbike rider was taken to a major trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, police said. A cordon was put in place and the road was closed.

There have been several serious collisions and fatalities in and around the stretch of road, including in 2017 when Ardian Zagani was killed cycling in Parkhurst Road, near the junction with Holloway Road.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.49pm to reports of a road traffic collision in Parkhurst Road. We sent a number of resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance. The first of our crews arrived at the scene in three minutes. Our crews treated a man at the scene, before taking him to a London major trauma centre by road.”
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
