Put a bell on every bike 

• IN this day and age bikes should be made to have bells.

Plenty has been said about cyclists getting injured by cars. What about us pedestrians?

You walk along a pavement and suddenly a bike is up behind you – and there’s no sound, unless you get sworn at to get out of the way.

I’ve seen many near-misses. They never go by any rules. I thought pavements were for pedestrians.
