REVELLERS were quite literally rocking around the clock on Sunday when they flocked to Caledonian Park for an afternoon of music and merriment.

Among the acts lighting up the stage at the Clock Tower Festival were the Space Chickens who sang a song about a launderette in Holloway Road.

Organised by the Clocktower Residents Group, there was plenty to keep visitors entertained, including stalls offering up a host of bargains, games, a climbing wall for children and food.

Smiling youngsters Poppy Hester, 9, and Ellie Mae, 10, also joined in the festivities as they helped sell a selection of delicious cakes to raise funds for the Fisher drama club, which is based in the nearby Goodinge Community Centre.

One of the biggest attractions of the day was the chance to take part in a rare tour of the Caledonian Clock Tower, giving visitors the chance to enjoy a spectacular view across London.

Thanks to support from the National Lottery, the tower is set to be refurbished later this year so that it can be open to the public on a regular basis.
