Leonardo Reid died after being attacked on June 29 in Elthorne Road

A MAN appeared at the Old Bailey this morning (Friday) facing two murder charges. 

Mr Chunda, 27, from Highgate, is accused of  killing Leonardo Reid, 15, and Klevi Shekaj, 23, after stabbings in Elthorne Road on June 29.

He is also charged with the attempted murder of Abdullah Abdullahi, who is in his 20s. Mr Abdullahi was taken to hospital where his injuries have been assessed as not life threatening. 

Mr Chunda was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon.

The court was told he will be held on remand in custody until a plea and trial preparation hearing on September 22. 

Another man, Jason Furtardo, 26, was also charged yesterday with two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and possession of an offensive weapon. He is set to appear later at Willesden Magistrates Court.
