Man in hospital after attack with dumbbell

Met believes the two men were known to each other

POLICE are looking for a man who is believed to have carried out an attack using a dumbbell.

Officers were called to Hemingford Road on Monday night after reports of an assault.

A suspect approached another man, aged in his 30s, and attacked him with the dumbbell.

The victim was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where his injuries were assessed as non-life threatening or life-changing.

Hemingford Road was cordoned off on Monday night as the police carried out enquiries within the area.

No arrests have been made so far, and the police said that their investigation is continuing.

The Met believes it to be an isolated incident and early indications are that the two men were known to each other.
