AN Islington man has been charged on 19 counts of voyeurism as part of a police investigation across north London.

Anthony Durkan, 35, has been bailed to appear at Highbury Magistrates’ Court on July 21. The charges relate to a series of incidents alleged to have occurred between January 2020 and March 2026.

It is alleged that Mr Durkan filmed women through the windows of their homes in Islington in the early hours of the morning without their knowledge or consent.

Detective Chief Inspector Gemma Alger, whose team is leading the investigation, said: “We understand news like this causes concern within the local community, particularly among women living in the area. I want to reassure the public that these allegations are being treated with the utmost seriousness.

“At this time there is no information to suggest there is any wider risk to the community.

“We are now keen to hear from anyone who believes they may have been affected by this case. We recognise that coming forward can feel daunting, but anyone who contacts us will be listened to, supported, and guided by specialist officers. The information you share could be vital to our investigation.
