A 19-YEAR-OLD man has died after being found stabbed in a car in Finsbury Park.
A police cordon was in place all day yesterday (Thursday) following the stabbing in the early hours in Tollington Park at the junction with Stroud Green Road.
Officers were called to reports of a man injured at 2.50am. Emergency services performed CPR on the teen but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A second man, who had been driving the car, was taken to hospital with injuries but was later discharged.
A forensic tent had been erected on the pavement and officers were searching flowerpots and rubbish bags outside shops.
Detectives have appealed for dashcam or ring-doorbell footage from the public after establishing the men sustained their injuries in Seven Sisters Road near Yonge Park before coming to a stop in Tollington Park.
A police spokesman said: “A murder investigation is under way following a stabbing in Islington.
“His next of kin have been informed. There have been no arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
