Murder probe after woman, 23, is found dead
Six arrests are made as police issue appeal for information

A MURDER investigation has been launched after a woman was found dead in Clerkenwell.
Four women and two men – all in their 20s – were arrested on suspicion of murder at a new-build block in Bollinder Place at 9.33am on August 6.
They have all been bailed and police said yesterday (Thursday) they were not in a position to reveal the identity of the 23-year-old victim.
Chief Superintendent Jason Stewart, who leads on policing in the local area, said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the young woman who has lost her life.
“We understand that news of an incident like this will cause concern within the local community. Local officers will continue to be visible in the area and are available to speak with residents who have questions or concerns. While enquiries remain ongoing, information available to us at this stage indicates this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.”
Detective Chief Inspector Paul Waller, who is leading the investigation, added: “Detectives are working to establish exactly what happened in the time leading up to this woman’s death.
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have information that could assist our investigation.
“No matter how insignificant it may seem, I would urge anyone with information to come forward and speak with us.”
