River Atley serenaded passers-by while estate agent staff handed out roses

ESTATE agents are not usually synonymous with feelings of love, but that may all be set to change after David Astburys in Upper Street spent Valentine’s Day handing out red roses to passers-by.

Members of staff from the property business, which also has a branch in Crouch End, handed out 500 roses to members of the public last Wednesday as part of their Spread the Love campaign on that most traditional day of love.

Islington-based musician River Atley was also on hand to lend his soulful sound to set the mood… for love!

Renewals consultant Sherine Miah said: “Our sole aim was to bring a little joy to our community and perhaps bring unexpected smiles to faces. We collaborated with a local singer-songwriter River Atley, who performed for the crowds and entertained us all with covers and his original works.”
