Peeps Online goes to Liz Truss’s constituency
Friday, 28th June 2024
OUR election tour took us to Downham Market in Norfolk this week, as we were so intrigued to see what voters in Liz Truss’s constituency thought ahead of the July 4 general election.
It’s safe to say that even traditional Tories in a what is usually a very safe seat for the Conservatives were thinking twice about the former prime minister this time around.
You can see what they had to say after our market day visit on Peeps Online, the film channel from the Tribune which goes further afield than our normal borough boundaries.
Over the course of the campaign we’ve heard from Tories who will never swap sides in Radlett, Lib Dem voters in Eastbourne and the rise of Reform in places like Billericay. We’ve been to Whitstable to inspect the sea sewage and into the City of London to find out whether tax really was the main issue on everybody’s minds.
