Jeremy Corbyn on the campaign trail

• We were pleased to arrange a local screening of the film Oh, Jeremy Corbyn – The Big Lie recently which has had more than a hundred screenings around the country but very few in the London area.

It was attended by around 75 people, not just from Camden and Islington but also from further afield. The film narrates how the Corbyn project was brought down by the establishment, both inside and outside the Labour Party. We followed it up with an interesting Q&A with the film’s producer Chris Reeves and local campaigner and former ANC MP Andrew Feinstein.

We are grateful to Platform Films for providing the movie, to the staff of Hillgrove Community centre, its trustees and councillors for their support, for comrades who got everything to work, and for Islington Tribune for publicising the event on its Letters pages.

We raised over £500 from which we made a small donation to Platform Films and the remainder to Jeremy Corbyn’s support fund.
