EMILY Frances Knox, in her 30s, is head of social content at media agency Tug. She lives in Finsbury Park and loves eating at Petek and the Cats Café Des Artistes. She enjoys her yoga classes and loves a pint at the WB Yeats in Fonthill Road. She recently started working in Old Street and is “still excited about the number of places to eat and drink”. She got married in the Islington Town Hall and had her reception at the Dead Dolls Club in Upper Street – “still one of my fave places in London”.

MARGAUX Malvezin, 24, is from Strasbourg in France, but has lived in Islington for the last year and a half. She first lived in Archway before moving to Finsbury Park six months ago. She recently graduated with a Law masters at King’s College, specialising in Intellectual Property. She loves the “crazy shops in Fonthill Road” and eating at “hidden gem” Moroccan restaurant Le Rif in Seven Sisters Road.

KATE Kandiah, 38, has lived in Islington for over five years, and is currently based in Angel. She owns and runs two small businesses in Angel: Angel Oversees, which works with overseas governments to assist with the social integration of diaspora groups, and Barnsbury Road-based soft interior furnishings shop Rosehip & Wild. She actively supports charities such as Oxjam Islington and Islington Giving. She thrives on community events: “I love the people I meet and the fun we have. It is everything I love about Islington,” she said.
