WHITTINGTON Park’s Dog Olympix wowed the crowds again on Sunday as the event raised a much-needed £1,500 to ensure a water fountain comes to the Archway park.

Sunnie De Pass, the event organiser, is now calling on the park’s manager and Thames Water to resolve any outstanding issues to ensure there are no more delays to installing the water tap.

Praising the crowds for a “brilliant day,” the dog trainer said the winner of Best in Show was a well-deserving owner and her pup.

She said: “The people who trained the hardest, they were the ones that were most elated with their success – it was astonishing to see that Pauline Wilson and Pip came the Best in Show for the second year running and she’s been attending agility classes for a few years and for a woman in her 70s and a retired doctor, she’s really committed – she’s amazing.”

Islington will now match what the Olympix has raised over the past four years, bringing the total to £8,000.
