I have to pay extra for any visitors who drive to see me on a matchday which I accept.

I am a permit holder but have also been ticketed when I have parked in the wrong bay on a matchday.

Can anyone please explain why the security staff employed by CSP – The Combined Service Provider – are allowed to park all along Benwell Road (and further afield I have been told) during the match in resident bays and on double yellow lines.

It appears that they are not given tickets if they display their CSP jacket on the dashboard.

I have spoken to wardens who said that they feel intimidated by the staff who stand in groups around the cars.

Others believed that they are allowed to park.

On some days all the double yellow lines are taken up with their vehicles, this leaving disabled drivers struggling to find a space near to the stadium.
