OUR online politics channel, Peeps Online, was in town on Tuesday as farmers drove their tractors down Whitehall in a demonstration against new inheritance tax rules.

Agriculture workers said the future of their farms – and the food production line – was at risk if families could not hand them down to relatives.

They suggested many would simply be sold. The Labour government said only a small number of farms would be affected and the money would go schools and the NHS.
