However the results and composition of councils would have been very different under PR, propor­tional representation.

In Islington 54 per cent of the vote resulted in Labour taking 48 out of 51 seats on the council, leaving three Green Party councillors as the only opposition.

Surely it is time to reform our broken voting system, advocate for PR, and bring fair representation to local government?
