• CONSIDERING the plight of the Hicks family and the sad scenario they find themselves in, would it not be fair to say that all police should have active cameras and audio while on duty as this would answer all questions promptly should something occur? (Hicks family: Justice has still not been done, October 27).

Islington Council has spent money on improving CCTV yet the only thing it appears to have recorded is its own failure as crime is clearly not being reduced.

Perhaps new crime-fighters’ leaders are now required in Islington.
