Poppy Appeal: Last year £14,014.51 was raised for the Royal British Legion

• ISLINGTON saw mayor Cllr Troy Gallagher and his consort Mary Roberts attend the launch of the borough’s Poppy Appeal. This happened at the Nag’s Head shopping centre and area.

As Poppy Appeal organiser I was grateful for their help in getting this year’s appeal under way with the help of members of Islington Veterans’ Association.

Thank you to all who helped or donated last year, when £14,014.51 was raised for the Royal British Legion appeal.
