• WE residents on Wedmore Street Estate feel that nobody was consulted, or kept in the loop, or kept up to date, about the building of the 19 new homes here.

We will get a new playground on the estate off Holloway Road. But the plan will cause a lot of problems for local businesses and traders.

It’s a tight squeeze on a narrow road. The council are saying there will be no daylight lost. We think there will be.

And we fear rats and mice running around the place and pollution from major drilling work.

We fear for kids’ health from conditions such as asthma. The garden is smaller, with reduced wildlife, flowers, plants, and greenery.

This historic estate was built in 1904-1905 and residents were against this scheme and complained, but the council did not listen to us.

It’s a nightmare on the estate now, with all the cars parked under our windows. It’s horrible.
