SPRING has sprung at Duncombe Primary School. Reception pupils at the Archway school have watched nine eggs hatch into spring chickens. The nine chicks – six females and three males – have been brought into the school to teach pupils about animals and life cycles. Duncombe is also home to two adult chickens, Vanessa and Harriet, though the young chicks will not stay.
