The film crew shooting at Acland Burghley School
A TOUCH of Hollywood came to Tufnell Park this week as film crews descended on Acland Burghley School.
The location shoot is for a film – but what stars might be reading lines to camera is unknown. Staff at the school revealed that the parts of the grounds being used were surrounded by barriers to keep the details of what was being made secret.
The crews working are from the world-famous Pinewood Studios, where the Marvel superhero franchise is made, as well as other recent hits such as Saltburn and a raft of British classics.
A sign warning of gunfire
In recent years, the smash-hit TV series Killing Eve used Burghley as a backdrop, its 1960s Brutalist design attracting directors.
The school is currently closed for Easter holidays, and hiring it out will bring some welcome funds as the school seeks to renovate its Grade-II listed performance hall.
One staff member said: “We’ve not been told what they are making – there has been a bit of secrecy about it, which makes it all rather exciting. We were wondering which A-lister might emerge from the playground.”
