A FURTHER setback has hit plans to build a 400-seat underground theatre off Upper Street, part of a wider shopping complex, as the developers Berjaya UK Investment & Develop­ment Limited have withdrawn their appeal against the council.

The council had opposed the plans because there was not a clause guaranteeing that Berjaya would open the Collins Theatre within five years.
