Show up and make a noise for your beliefs
Friday, 1st April 2022
• ISLINGTON Council have made a commitment to be carbon-neutral by 2030, a confident target that holds positive policy change in their sights.
However they also voted for the £1.2billion redevelopment of the Edmonton incinerator, a step that only contradicts their carbon pledge.
I see Extinction Rebellion’s work as being fuelled by compassion, compassion for the planet, for those living on it and for those not yet living on it.
I believe in doing your bit to leave the world a little better before you pass it on.
I’m going to be at the reading of the Declaration of Rebellion this Saturday, on the steps of Islington Town Hall at noon.
It’s a promise to myself to do more. It’s also a commitment to showing up and making noise for my beliefs, and I hope to see you there too.
