• I RUN a small business in Old Street and I get to hear a lot of what people are worried about locally.

At the moment the worry is the plan to build affordable homes.

Imagine, a Labour council trying to build social housing in Finsbury!

The old borough is full of the stuff thanks to bold council decisions decades ago.

Also, the football pitches are being replaced. Some people can never take “yes” for an answer.

How obviously out of touch the protesters are by bringing an ex-Tottenham Hotspur player to lead their campaign, (‘Sir Les’ joins the fight to save pitches, November 22)!

Councils should build affordable homes.
