ANGEL Central kicked off Christmas with a sparkling neon-themed evening of performances that brought festive joy to even the biggest Grinch in the crowd.

Jugglers and dancers wowed the audience at Light Up Angel on November 22, with shows from the King’s Head Theatre’s Cinderella and the Little Angel Theatre to top it off.

Families got in on the fun too, with free face-painting and hair-braiding, and mulled wine and churros were also on offer, all accompanied by festive tunes.

The big moment of the night was when The Snowman from Sadler’s Wells Theatre flipped the switch on the lights, marking the start of a month of festive switch-ons and carol singing across the borough.
