HARD MEN Jason Statham and Vinnie Jones were among leading actors out filming for the latest Guy Ritchie gangster crime caper.
Shooting for Viva La Madness in and around King’s Cross on Friday and Monday caused quite a stir from passers-by. Parking bays were suspended in Burton Street, Burton Place, Flaxman Terrace, Cartwright Gardens, Leigh Street and Judd Street.

Filming for Viva La Madness
The story is a sequel to JJ Connolly’s debut novel, Layer Cake – but the film is said to be a stand-alone flick.
Layer Cake was adapted for the big screen in 2004 and was directed by Matthew Vaughn in his debut.

Actor Jason Statham
Mr Ritchie was behind the original Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels that featured Mr Jones, formerly of the Wimbledon FC backline.
Other actors in the new movie include Jason Isaacs from White Lotus and Harry Potter, Babs Olusanmokun from Dune, Trainspotting’s Jonny Lee Miller, Camila Mendes, Ben Foster and Raúl Alejandro.

A car obstructing filming is removed from the street
A car left in the street was said to be “broken into and hot-wired” before being moved out of the way of the film set.
