Horse manure ‘contains only vegetable waste so presents no health hazards’

• I NEVER have a problem with horse manure deposited on our streets despite riding a motorbike for more than 50 years, (Holy shit, who left street in this mess? October 5).

It contains only vegetable waste so presents no health hazards, unlike dog faeces. Indeed, at stables children slide down the dung piles with no adverse problems.

Just ride around it as I do. Stay alert, cyclists.
