• WATCH out, there’s a street sign thief about!

Looking for Colebrooke Row? There is no longer a street sign at the junction with St Peter’s Street. The sign has gone from Lambs Mews opposite.

This is because a man with a dog blatantly un-screwed them in daylight on the afternoon of April 26 and made off with them. I accosted him and was pushed into the road as he made a run for it.

I wonder if any other signs have gone missing recently? If anyone else has seen him at work, please report it to the police. Local taxpayers will be footing the bill for replacing them.
