THE next generation of players flying the flag for top youth football club Camden Elite are starting to “find their feet” at the artificial pitches in Market Road, Islington.

Elite’s joint Under-9s and 10s squad only formed in September but are already catching the eye with their precise passing and teamwork.

As with many youth leagues, results and tables in the youngest age groups of the Camden and Islington Youth League aren’t recorded, with the emphasis put on fun and development.

But that hasn’t stopped Elite from gaining a reputation as one of the best amateur youth clubs in the country – a reputation that past players have helped solidify by beating academies from a raft of professional clubs.

Elite founder Sebastian Eurico said: “Our newest team has been together for just a couple of months and they’re slowly starting to find their feet. Now we want to bolster our squad, and have launched a new development centre at Haverstock School in Chalk Farm every Thursday between 4.30pm and 6pm.”
