Supermarket staff ‘equal pay' bid
Fight to win improved salaries for those who have worked through the coronavirus crisis

LAWYERS from a campaigning Islington legal practice say they are working on cases to win pay rises for the supermarket staff who have kept on working through the coronavirus crisis and ongoing lockdown.
Partners at Leigh Day, based in St John’s Lane, Farringdon, said they were already acting for 40,000 shop floor workers in an “equal pay” campaign – and encouraged more to contact them for representation.
The company says the legal claims were based on securing the same salaries for store staff, that are given to higher paid workers in warehouse and the daily distribution network.
