LTN, low traffic neighbourhood, zones should be suspended temporarily

• I APPRECIATE that work has to be carried out as soon as possible because of the burst water mains. However the knock-on effect with road closures has led to huge traffic jams and buses rerouted.

This has led to massive jams for example at the already notorious Highbury and Islington “roundabout” as well as huge delays of more than one hour along Blackstock Road and Highbury Barn and Grove.

Surely the relevant LTN, low traffic neighbourhood, zones should be suspended temporarily to alleviate traffic. After all, much more pollution is being pumped into the air because of these huge jams.
